Having walked up the stairs and under the statue it self, fecking stank of piss. Why do people do that around monuments? It baffles me.
Viewed from the steps, one can enjoy the confluence of Rhein and Mosel rivers coming into view.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Think Auf wiedersehen pet I was booked into 1 in Coventry when away on business over 20 years ago because everywhere else was full due to a big event at the NEC. Never again. They're not even basic, everything was on the cheap. No ensuite, the shared toilet/shower was a self clean plastic pod, the rooms were shoite like something from the 1970s and it was full of builders.
