Doc does Germany with our lass part ?

I’ll be interested to hear what you make of the flatlands of the Baltic coast / Stralsund / Rugan island. Not so many Brits visit this part of Germany, though have in mind that the German holidays have started, so it might be busier than normal.

Please keep it coming @Doc as it’s an area I would like to visit be it on a bike trip or by motorhome. Have a great trip and hopefully decent weather.

Like I said before , your holiday reports are great for those of us who aren't 'getting away' ourselves

Have a brilliant time matey...ride safe and enjoy yerselves
Cheers Roger

In one.

Everyone does their holidays differently, but Doc does them ‘His way’ (which is great) and at least he tries out new places, away from the regularly tried and tested old ‘safe’ favourites.

Not sure if our lass will do another big trip after this one so let’s see.
So two issues there.
Firstly, who will make your coffee mid morning at the side of the road?

Secondly, we’ve all seen what happens when you travel without your conscience and wine level alarm, can’t you persuade her to keep coming?

Valid points Alistair.
Coffee. I can do
Wine. I have no conscience when supping it.😅
I need to persuade her as I'm poor and she isn't. 😂

Trip day and the weather is looking good.
Going to have a ride down to the coast near Boston Lincolnshire today and follow the coast up towards Hull for a change today. Usually its Whitby but fancied a change. Looking as though we could get some rain in Rotterdam tomorrow for our ride up to Verden.

Although bike travel can be really cheap after the initial outlay of the bike (which has already been done in your case)
I travel light now and stay in swanky hotels, but my favourite trips were still when I was young and skint!! Bikes and bikers are very welcome in Europe and you’ll never be left in the lurch as long as you have a personality and a sense of adventure 😎
That’s what this forum really needs. Someone travelling on a shoe string!!
Maybe you can go first 😬

Nothing is cheap Tom. Last year's big trip cost £5.5 grand and you want me to go alone🤣
Feck that.
Nearly at the coast now.20260701_081906.jpg
