Still haven’t sussed CarPlay then ? 😀
Yes. Just didn't have it on. Definitely a game changer having it although having to have a headset to make it work in the pannier is a pain.

Can’t you use a Bluetooth dongle ? 😀

Doc, you need one of these bypass things, you just plug it into your USB connector in the fairing pocket, you will need an adapter (usb c to usb) as it’s a usb c connection. The the adapter fools the bike into thinking you have a headset connected, you then simply plug you phone into it and you’ll get CarPlay and it will charge your phone.

Martin kindly lent me one. It worked then it wouldn't. Tried another and that wouldn't work.
I have to use this.

Nice run out today. Again great roads and the sun was shining.
Now to decide on tomorrow's excursion.

It’s bizarre because that dongle I leant you cost me £5 and has been faultless on my Wing . It’s left plugged in to the spare USB socket on left pannier that just provides power and as soon as I plug my phone in to the USB in the tank cubby hole , CarPlay boots into life every time .

If the Shure permanently stayed on it wouldn't be so bad. If I get off the bike after a few minutes it turns off. Not a big hassle turning it back in but would be better if I didn't need it at all.

It’s a common thing discussed on the Indian forums, one of the issues seems to be the cable you use, seems CarPlay and the phone only like a genuine OEM cable from phone to bike usb🤷‍♂️.
