Doc does London 2025 ( or wants to 🤔 ) - Thursday 13th March - A date for your diary

all we can do is offer advice. He is free to act upon it or ignore it. Let's not get into lecturing the chap about how we think he has made the wrong choices for *his* adventure to get south of the River Trent.
Mostly I do Wessie. Hotel is convenient from the station without messing about with the Tube.

That hotel is a perfect stop. Nice restaurant, nice bar a coffee shop inside it. Plus a good pub next door. Have propped both bars up several / too many times.

well said Wessie. Seems this thread will have Doc trussed up and delivered to our location on the 13th like a Christmas turkey. Having seen all the sights taken the train, tube, bus, uber boat and whatever next.....Let the man arrange his own shit and reach out if he needs help.
Jesus I´d shit myself if I had all that attention if I headed oooop North. Just crossing the Watford Gap line is traumatic enough for someone who commutes between Rotterdam and London City airport.....

But hey, remember ``I'm Special Needs``

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :beerjug::beerjug::beerjug:

.....and if the worst came to the worst for future events I am sure some of us tossers would have a spare room to share. I would be happy to accommodate someone that I had met before who was looking for a bed for a night or 2 & in my flat´s spare room if it was really needed. But I would have to know the person first.
Just thinking of all those bikers that joined Dave Myers remembrance run and who were given a spare room at so many people´s homes in Barrow. Why not...Its called helping out.

beer yup. Fekking bonkers in London. Went to Hawksmore for a dinner a couple of weeks back in Cannnnnary Wharf. Nice steak house used by posh business people and a few footie guys. Steak dinner was just under 100 quid pp but 18.30 for a G&T albeit a double just about had me raging....thankfully I didn't pay...
Re hookers - cant help you there but if you come over here, certainly can help. My daughter works part time in the Amsterdam Red light district in a sex shop and knows the girls in the windows opposite. Came to her rescue when some dodgy bloke grabbed my daughter ass when she was closing the shop. 2 girls in bikini´s came running out and flattened said prick before the local red light security bods showed up and no...they are not affiliated to law enforcement. Said punter almost ended up in the canal and had to apologize profusely to my daughter......
......and regards coke, I think coke zero or cola light as its called over here is probably about the same price...

and use the split ticketing thing, not necessarily on the Trainline app as the savings can vary as explained at

Thnks Wessie. Yes seen the split ticket thing when trying to book a ticket ( return times not available yet )
Anything could happen me getting on and off trains. I want to get on and off and know I'm there.
Could be a book in this.

A Northerner does London by Doc CJ Brown. Part 1

you don't have to get off the train with a split ticket, just have 2 tickets for different legs of the journey on the same train.

I think it was more about being a “flat” and not an “apartment” 🤣

An apartment is much more plush than a flat. I mean you only ever get a council flat, never a council apartment 🤣🤣

Well you’ve saved a few quid Doc cos I’ll stand you a pint

Merry Christmas 🎅
Good man thanks. Paid for the digs just saving for the train tickets.
Working boxing day will help.

Bang on. A plush 1000sq.ft. 2 bed, 2 bath, apartment in the heart of London's Financial district.....or so it was advertised when I took in back in 2018.....
Anyway its just a flat in Tower Hamlets.

Some soft shandy drinking southerners out on the town last night celebrating Christmas with bowls of jellied eels.
I’ll get them all at the train station to welcome Docs arrival singing “knees up muvver Brown”
