Here is a flock of vultures that had frightened the crap out of me when they flew down into the valley bellow inly what felt like centimetres away from my head in 2023. One of them had killed something, then the whole flock came down from the mountain side.



Happened here, just after we left the bear monument.

Vultures never kill anything as such - although your could be in danger if you approach a large group eating! - they're scavengers ...

What you see is one finds a carcass and within a few minutes it's mob handed, seriously impressive!

The butter from northern Spain is fabulous, all those little green pastures that you see. But the idea of buttered bread with a Spanish meal is repellent, it's dry to mop up the lovely sauces or meat juice!
