Doc does Spain with our lass

Whilst I appreciate you are an early starter and like to be in the bar by 1500 … but in the mountains it’s best to let the morning mist burn off…(IMO of course….)

.

Cup holder….
Mmm bit of mist and beer at 3pm I'll take it.
Was bloody late today 4pm.

You are funny .
One of the things we love about trips to Spain is you can have a longer day out if you want, say getting back to hotel by 1800 yet still have a few hours before dinner .

Did you actually make it to Vega today or did you have to turn round before you got there in case you died of thirst ? 😜🤔

Yup we did
And that's what makes me an individual.;)

See what you mean @wessie about the AS12 although some of the road surfaces are getting past it.
Only saw 3 bikes on my whole route to the coast.

I have not been through there this side of Covid. The roads in Asturias were pretty good back then, certainly better surfaced than Castille y Leon at the time. I think Asturias is one of the poorer regions now, as their heavy industries are disappearing. I passed though quite a few abandoned, former coal mining villages.

You’re certainly that 😜
Where does leg three of the pub crawl take you ?
Now now pub crawl.
Tomorrow we head here.

Oh cool . Staying in the Parador there too ? It trumps the one where you are . Probably my second favourite Parador

No not a parador. Probably a box room in some dive.

Btw, Doc, if it’s raining or wet when you get to Lerma and you route via the main square, watch out for the cobbles . There’s quite a hill not obvious in pic and cobbles were very slippery

Rain here early tomorrow morning but looking fine for Lerma.

you might stand a chance of getting a drink in a different hotel

the Lerma Parador is very grand and the restaurant was fine. The bar service was dire. It's not really a bar, more like the lounge of an upmarket home for coffin dodgers and they seem surprised for someone to want a second beer!

I was there in early October and the town was pretty quiet in the evening so glad I booked half board. Hopefully more will be open for you

The punters here are as dull as dishwater.

Next stop on the tour today. 220 miles to do. Where we are now has been a nice area to visit. Maybe we should have had another day here to explore more of the area. Maybe next time if we decide to come back.

Where's the next stop then Doc?
