I've been fascinated by military history for a long time, I don't really know why

Great pictures Doc I especially enjoyed them, also noticeable was an example of 'Trench Art'

Dinner time then back to hotel for a swim ready for tea. food has been spot on at this seaside bar.

Slow pack up today. Will call in at a few places up the coast heading to Rotterdam. A cracking trip plus some very nice weather.
Bit overcast today but no rain which is good. No doubt will have a few pics from today.
I hope you enjoyed my not to in depth trip report.

Bit of a downer on the trip. Filled up the bike at a small card only petrol station. Did the usual card number and took the petrol nearly 40 euros. Jayne checked banking today and we were charged 108 uk pounds. Not sure what has happened but Jayne rang the bank. Currently payment is pending but once cleared bank will hopefully sort it. She remembers payment on pump was just under 40 euros so wonder if it didn't re set when I put nozzle back in and someone has had a free refill on us.

Funny thing just happened. Jayne just checked account and the right amount has been taken and other amount given back.
Still not right they do that. Especially as we didn't know this happened so obviously panicked not knowing what had happened .

When you fill up at unmanned pumps in France it usually says “servez vous max 149 euros” or something like that

So it checks that your account has that amount before giving you the juice, on French cards it just pre authorizes the amount, I thought foreign cards would be the same
