So 17 nights and a great trip.
Weather was fantastic and waterproofs needed once for half hour.
Total miles 2723 with one day off the bike.

Indeed.

He gives it a good go, doing what he and / or the pair of them want to do, as and when and how. Some might criticise it or say it should be done differently, but so what, it ain’t their holiday.

have you tried riding out somewhere and then meet her en route? Cheap flight or Eurostar. One of my group did this earlier this year. We rode to Bavaria via Alsace then his wife joined us for a few days in Bavaria and Austria. She took a return flight from Stansted to Memmingen whilst we rode home via the Mosel.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Done it a couple of times where Mrs. Blackblade has flown into Faro with friends/family, and then I’ve done the ferry to Santander and through the Picos and Portugal down to the Algarve.
Was hoping to do similar last year travelling to Italy, but health issues for Mrs. Blackblade put paid to it.
I’m hoping it could be a possibility in the future, but time will tell.
