Doc wants to add Spain to his Doc does trip reports

I shall consult the boss and let her choose. It def wont be a inside one although she could surprise me. She is a woman after all.
Asked one of the lads for a discount code and thanks for the offer from the Captain but it does not work for my sailing.

Well experiencing her reaction with the balcony roads, I’d say commodore cabin would be the safest of the safe options.

You sure you’ve entered the code in the correct box?

Edited to add:

It is the first box you see on page one before you even select the crossing location or indeed departure times.

Maybe you have already done so Doc, but another option is to use the Rosslare/Bilbao crossing - you would have to add on the crossing to Ireland (few to choose from) to see if it is viable. It used to be a basic ferry, but its a proper cruise ferry now apparently.
Maybe spend a couple of days in Ireland if you have the time to spare.

And who could forget Cancale in Brittany when he booked the broom cupboard facing a cliff rather than a nice room with balcony facing the sea .

He is a romantic though .

“Eh up our Jayne .
Would thou like me t’book posh cabin for t’holiday t’Spain or are you happy to make do with JohnnyBoxer Class ? “

I hear Doc is in talks wit’ t’BBC to film the epic voyage , under the working title

The Misadventures of Doc Dickynavigathan.

It is also hellllll of allot cheaper. I had had a quick look and it is something like £150* for a bloke and a bike each way for two sailings, Fishguard - Rosslare - Bilbao, then reversed for a return journey.

* don’t quote me, but I literally just had a quick glance as I’ve no plans to sail to Spain anytime soon**

**That might change, but unlikely.

I looked at all of the options including Holyhead to Dublin as more miles in Ireland made more sense than going to Fishguard. The timings are shit with a lot of faffing about. I can see why you would like the idea.

It is all a myth. Do not believe everything that there is written on these pages :D

On a serious note

Doc I can let you have a discount code should you need it

I know we are all busy telling the man what our fave routes in the picos are etc but a word of caution

My preferred route to Potes from Santander goes in through Puentenansa ( I think Arsey is the same) - its a brilliant road for a KTM 1390 one up with little in the way of luggage but might not be so much fun on 3 tonnes of Milwaukee pig iron or 4 tons of Indian rolling road block with a pillion and luggage.
I have seen many a HD struggling on the Gay Goat road too

This Trip is gonna be epic

P.S

When does it start ??

A day later than he thinks if he goes from Portsmouth

My Wing was just fine on the Puentenansa road , but then I wasn’t carrying the kitchen sink or Jayne .
If Doc takes his Indian he’ll be fine as they handle bloody well.

Love the bit south of Tudanca
