Like RedRick too thenYou cnut...this made me laugh!
Bwahahaha. "JB Class"
(Have to admit though, its the same as Tinytim Class)
JB, for some people it makes all the difference.Like RedRick too then
Only had a cabin with a window on a boat once and it was waste of time as the Perspex was opaque
Only in a cabin for sleeping or showering, so that’s that
best cabin I ever had was the disabled cabinLike RedRick too then

I can understand that entirely and would share your concern when travelling with my OH (she’s not a boat person whatsoever either) and no doubt we’d choose an outside or Conmodore cabinJB, for some people it makes all the difference.
For example my wife. It was not a pleasant experience for her on our Portsmouth to Caen crossing in 2017.
Not having a window it made her feel exceptionally anxious and disorientated about not knowing which way was the bow or the stern, especially when she opens the cabin door into the hallways and it all looks same. In her mind, the window also there for her escape (i suspect it ain’t that easy to break it) should she had to, if the boat went down. I know it all sounds very dramatic and over the top. But there are the types people who can’t cope with these issues and thus lie in bed all night with eyes wide open. She will sooner pay a bit more for the cabin with the window and at be able to sleep.
I suspect (presumably) that Doc’ Boss is in same category of people.
We are all very different and what might be overly easy and doesn’t make you blink an eyelid, makes for a harrowing experience to others. Being aware of others and their mental state, who are travelling with you after-all isn’t a bad thing.

Yep I had that one too on P&O North Sea and once on Brittany Ferriesbest cabin I ever had was the disabled cabin
No window but loads of space and a full wet room
How I got it I have no idea maybe it was my Tourettes
See my reply #153 ….NumbnutzDon’t waste you time .
A cabins only for sleeping ?
So if it’s a 22 hour crossing , what the fuck do you do for the rest of the time when not sleeping? I’ve done this crossing a few times and spend a good few hours just reading or chilling out .
Got an inside cabin in September as booked late and that’s all they had left.
But I’d never book one by choice .
Then again I also wouldn’t stay in a Formule One dorm for €35 or hunt out steak and FRITZ every night .
But we all have different priorities on what makes a holiday . And obviously different budgets or at least what we are prepared to spend .
Enjoy your tripStop now lads. Lets not be getting our knickers in a twist on a Sunday morning.
Think happy thoughts.
Cheers its a long way off yet but i like to plan ahead. Some of the ferry bookings are full already.Enjoy your trip
