You cnut...this made me laugh!

Bwahahaha. "JB Class" 🤣

(Have to admit though, its the same as Tinytim Class🙄)
Like RedRick too then
Only had a cabin with a window on a boat once and it was waste of time as the Perspex was opaque
Only in a cabin for sleeping or showering, so that’s that

JB, for some people it makes all the difference.

For example my wife. It was not a pleasant experience for her on our Portsmouth to Caen crossing in 2017.
Not having a window it made her feel exceptionally anxious and disorientated about not knowing which way was the bow or the stern, especially when she opens the cabin door into the hallways and it all looks same. In her mind, the window also there for her escape (i suspect it ain’t that easy to break it) should she had to, if the boat went down. I know it all sounds very dramatic and over the top. But there are the types people who can’t cope with these issues and thus lie in bed all night with eyes wide open. She will sooner pay a bit more for the cabin with the window and at be able to sleep.

I suspect (presumably) that Doc’ Boss is in same category of people.

We are all very different and what might be overly easy and doesn’t make you blink an eyelid, makes for a harrowing experience to others. Being aware of others and their mental state, who are travelling with you after-all isn’t a bad thing.

best cabin I ever had was the disabled cabin

No window but loads of space and a full wet room

How I got it I have no idea maybe it was my Tourettes

I can understand that entirely and would share your concern when travelling with my OH (she’s not a boat person whatsoever either) and no doubt we’d choose an outside or Conmodore cabin
I was more meaning travelling solo to Europe on a ferry or with a bunch of mates
Inside cabins tombs or prison cells, all the way and it doesn’t bother me as I use my GPS to find my way back to the cabin, via the myriad of walkways

Jayne is a bit claustrophobic. And inside cabins without a window wont cut it. She will get out of a lift if more people want to come in other than me and her.

Don’t waste you time .

A cabins only for sleeping ?

So if it’s a 22 hour crossing , what the fuck do you do for the rest of the time when not sleeping? I’ve done this crossing a few times and spend a good few hours just reading or chilling out .
Got an inside cabin in September as booked late and that’s all they had left.
But I’d never book one by choice .

Then again I also wouldn’t stay in a Formule One dorm for €35 or hunt out steak and FRITZ every night .

But we all have different priorities on what makes a holiday . And obviously different budgets or at least what we are prepared to spend .

See my reply #153 ….Numbnutz

I agree with you and Ev

I agree with Evskii, if travelling with OH we would choose a good cabin
Group of lads or solo and inside is just fine - no point going Commodore
22 hours - I can read in an inside cabin or any of the other lounges or the quiet area is good for chilling/reading - just as well
In fact, on a crossing I don’t spend much time at all in the cabin on a 12/22/36 hour crossing

BTW never stayed in a F1 hotel, as I like a decent family run hotel establishment too

Used a Campanile once or twice if nothing else was suitable 😂👅😉 (not quite stooped as low as a F1 hotel with self service vending machines for a breakfast)
