Hi

I've just returned to a GS (after deciding my age and shape best fits a GS)

If I want someone to fit spot lights or do other electrical work am I stuck with a main dealer or does anyone know of anyone who does this sort of job on a 1200. Seems there are a few who do 1100's or 1150's but not 1200's :beerjug:

Thank you both. It was spots I was thinking of but was a bit woried about the 1200 wiring CAN BUS or whatever it is called but will give it a go

follow the instructions with the spots there will be a diagram and use a relay

And if you've got the cockpit power socket option then you can take the live feed from that. Its switched power (only on when the bike is) and you can get a new lead for £20 and return the bike to stock.

I didn't do this, and ended up faffing about with the parking light. I can take some piccies if you like, might make things clearer.

Sorry about the delay !

Here's a cable to take a live feed from - its the one from the accessory socket:

And heres a (poor) picture of the parking lamp cable that I've taken power off. As I said previously, its better to use the accessory socket feed.
