In an answer for everything sort of way and kind of politicaly wishy washy. and you missed the points where I said that you went off the rails and putting the thread in beackchat and bollox,
Oh you were being serious there?errrr yep.
Dont get me wrong I'm not trying to rubbish it all, I think like others have said you have come accross in stating that TTuk are improving all aspects (all beit in a one man band kind of way) which is good for the customer
Personaly I would have like to have seen it from TTuk direct in an open add in the vendors section here other forums and perhaps motorcycle publications.
Keep an eye on MCN.
I mean it must be the law of average surely the bad history can not be limited to UKgsers unless all customers are considered tossers
(JOKE)
But the bad history is taken as a personal thing and most people never forget that bad service that you have received unless you get that apology for it and or the smooth over freebies.
As for the recent price reduction as you stated: "Better payment terms ?
Yep, same price but longer to pay and a sale or return on our next order. Never had one of those before from Germany."
Ok I understand that you say TTuk are pulling in more stock from Germany on a sale and return policy on your next order but if there not lowering your prices how does that allow TTuk to make this reduction? (other than it being previously over inflated and the bigest known gripe)
Better cash flow and not having money tied up in stock that's sitting on a shelf, means we have more flexibility to reduce costs
I Did not know until this thread that TT was different to TTuk and wondered why people talked about riding to TT Germany and purchasing direct i thought it was one company not a franchise middle man inflating the the prices.
You can call it inflating the price if you wish, I'd see it as an operating margin...and bringing the products to the UK so you don't need to ride to Germany to buy. But if you do, it's a great ride around the TTAg location.
I mean why cant I as a UK resident purchase from anywhere in euroland for instance directly with German TT if there that much lower priced, competition is good and most monopolies are illegal. For instance if you buy a new Ford car you would expect the price to be the same dealership wide but there not you have to go compare.
you mention about the competition having an effect as in most cases with out a doubt far cheaper, great products and general good service. you might state that TTuk product line being 5000+ but the others are growing and collectively is a huger impact.. years ago TT had little competition but Today is different thank god for competition, every little helps

I'm sure that everyone in the market tries their best to produce the best products, at the optimum price and with service that attracts customers. TT is no different in that sense, except the resources available to TT thanks to the German HQ, mean that offering 5000 plus products is possible, even if some of the less regularly ordered parts have to be made to order almost, in which case 7-10 days delivery is pretty impressive...it impressed me as a customer when I was in the USA, and it impresses me now I'm in the UK and get to see how many customers are delivered the parts they want, at a price they believe reasonable, for the quality of product and service they receive.
