Hi, I have had a hein Gericke suit now for 7 years, want to replace it, but what with? Two mates have bought the BMW suit and troos and both leak like a leaky thing, on way to europe last year, mate was soaked in an hour, last week coming back from North West 200, other mate was soaked in less, had to borrow a nylon oversuit to keep dry. Is this the norm??
So, anyone got a BMW suit that keeps you dry?
Anyone tried the Alpinestars touring suit, new out.
Or do i stay with Hein Gericke?
Cheers me dears, ta.

Put my Belstaff Trialsmaster to the test going too & from LLangollen, I came through it all very comfortable & quite dry. (Yes I sh!t you not...:)) Not been rewaxed either but had very light use prior. Boots & gloves leaked but weren't meant for that duty.... Plastics sweat, I also have a full Nelson Rigg AX1 outfit & are catch 22 really, getting damp from body fluids...

My Halvarssons suit is now 3 years old, used every day, and is still completely waterproof.

These Swedes know a thing or two about rain and cold it seems.

hein gericke gtx goretex, rode across europe camped over weekend in bavarian mountains and back home in febuary and not a drip got in despite drunken sledging, snow angels, and general stupidity, now 4 years old and been all over inc norway this january,it's the best

I have a Spidi 365 jacket (yes, Spidi with a P), never leaked in 5 years, great quality, great fit and I commute every day on the bike. It's my second Spidi as I wore the last one out and wouldn't hesitate to buy another when the current one goes the way of old bike jackets.

HTH

Lent my mate my HG Tuareg rally suit, he went to belgium with 15 other bikes, he was the only one that was dry. Also have a Rukka SRO Goretex XCR suit never ever leaks, bit warm in the summer though.

RUKKA

Expensive , but IMO preferable to getting wet.

I don't regret the choice :thumb

Kushtani Massuro shell jacket with trousres had it for over a year now still the best for warmth, water proof etc. but the pockets are too small.

The Dane XCR gortex shell is very good nice and warm nice pockets should have bought that one...:blast

We've sold about 10 of those over the course of a year.

Thanks guys, keep em coming! Would like a choice of contenders for my dosh!

My gericke suit only leaks down the front at the zip in a heavy downpour.

Is your gericke suite goretex? if so take it back as they have a 5 year guarantee

Rev It Cayenne Pro,stays bone dry every time.

HG PSX TR jacket and pants likewise, but more suited to sportier bikes than GS

Streetguard 2

Mine is dry and as its just been replaced by the Streetguard 3 you may be able to get a bargain if you ring round the dealers.

Streetguard 2 for me every time :thumb

Although not available now :(

Three or four years old, 70,000 miles + and still going strong... even the zips

Even slid down the road in it

Zipped to Atlantis III pants a great combination :thumb

:beerjug:

HG Master V suit - never leaked and been through some real downpours - Goretex is on the outside so doesn't soak it up either

Surprised the b-em suits leaked , what kind were they? I have used Rally suit in torrential rain and been dry - slight damp at neck and inside the gloves - don't MENtION THE GLOVES aaarrrgghhh.....

Seriously, they must know the outers are not waterproof, but the goretex is ?

Rukka had it five years now never been wet or cold :thumb2prices are scary but a good investment, saving up for the leathers now.

Definitely Hein Gericke Gortex. Expensive but bone dry through really extreme rain through France and Italy.

Hein Gericke here too, Have the Cruise GTX MKII (Had the MKI previously) and both were 100% waterproof even in prolonged motorway downpours back from the continent.

I don't think their expensive in the scheme of things.
