Does your dealer wash your bike at service?

Yes, my dealer always washes the bike(with a power washer), I'd rather they did not..........

maybe I should tell them........

Personally I'd rather wash my own bike but it is a nice touch especially if they ask first 🎅
Reminded me of one year at the thunder sprint when 2 guys walked into the toilets....one said to his mate, will you hold my helmet whilst I have a piss. Goes without saying the friend said, you don't ask that in a public place mate lol 😀

Nice gesture but No Thank You, I'd opt out of any dealer washing my bike, they use TFR and its been known to stain the wire wheels on the wc.

That'll be no for Pidcocks after warranty work to replace the final drive :tosser

I'd rather wash it myself. Hand washing is a good way of spotting things that ain't right.

Not so much the bike but I know I never allow car dealership to wash me car, have seen too many fuck ups by piss poor washing technique, just watch undercover bosses, Hyundai have 15mins to wash a car and clean inside  takes me that long just to get the pre wash on.

Rainbow BMW don't & never have in 20 years of looking after my GS 's

I like it that way

A proper bike dealer won't, as they know why the owner prefers them not to

It's better they don't & old fashioned dealers know why

It's these newer car/bike dealers who think it's a car so needs to washed

Tossers :)

Dick Lovetts do every time (they ask me first). And last time they also did a ACF50 winter prep for £40, and an excellent job if it too.

I was under the probably misguided notion that if I take the bike in shining like new they will take more care of it. However they still hose it down after the service which is annoying as I often have to spend ten minutes drying off the seats, screen etc, etc before I can ride it away. I'd rather they left it alone and I suppose they would if I asked them.

I turned up at 8am to get my bikes first service it was filthy from the 90 mile journey to the dealers in really crap weather and the local roads were covered in mud from quarries and farm traffic. I asked them if I could use their jet wash to blast off the crap and then they said they would sort it.

Cut a long story short they didn't wash it off or get round to looking at the bike until 3pm that afternoon by which time the crap on the bike was shall we say solid, I was then collared by the service manager about the state of the bike and that failing to keep it clean could result in the bikes warranty re corrosion being invalidated.

Even put in on the service sheet to which I went off it, prior to this I was more than happy with the dealer but it shall we say pissed me off ...... my bikes are normally immaculate and better turned out than ANY dealers used stock

Park lane washed mine and I wish they hadn't as they left streak marks on the plastic and missed bits so it just looked worse.

washin.....

The only problem with the dealers washin your bike is they nearly always use traffic film remover ( using a power washer ) :rob and that removes all your hard worked polishing......so I`ll do it by hand thank you.:blast...and my bike lol .
The dealer I use always collects and delivers this time of year for no cost, and until recently that was a 190 mile round trip. Great service .

Shinyface ;)
