Day 6
5th August

After a good nights kip on our ant infested rubbish tip pitch we wake to beautiful blue skies and awe inspiring views, this really
is a beautiful part of the world.

We decide to concentrate on provisions today and generally sussing the place out before doing some local passes in the afternoon
I think we did the Passo Gardena first then generally just cut about enjoying the scenery before returning to base camp for a spot of grub and a wee drink

Day 7
6th August





We get some breakfast over our necks and hit the road early for a full day riding these stunning passes. Davy still can't believe the shithole tent pitches that we are staying on .

The local wildlife was really taking a liking to Daves flesh .

I can't remember the names of all of the passes but some are just so stunning that it doesn't take long for the visual data bank to fill up. I think the first Pass of the day was the Passo Gardena again . followed by Passo Pordoi

We ride up through the Passo Pordoi and decide to stop for a spot of lunch at a roadside cafe on the summit of the pass. The pictures on the menu look bloody tasty so I decide to go for my first ever authentic Itallian Pizza. The waitress brings me a cold beer and what can only be described as a poor relative of a Findus frozen french bread pizza which I think she warmed by placing under her Russian shot putter armpit.
As we sit enjoying our al fresco lunch we notice the cable car booking office and after inquiring , discover that it costs 14 euro for a trip to the mountain top . Feck it , we aint gonna be back here any time soon, lets go for it . I'm so glad we did , the views were breathtaking , Literally breathtaking, being a fat tosser even walking around on the mountain top was exhausting

We leave the high passes behind and head down into the lush green valleys below .

it gets a bit warmer on the valley floor so we stop for some ice cream and peel off the riding gear.

Then we head back up over the passes and back to base camp for a well earned meal and some refreshments .
