I suppose now that I'm condemned to KTM ownership because of the massive hit I'll take if I sell my 1190 I might as well bung a full Akro on it at some point over the winter. That's a proper bastard :D

Some people need to experience the hit on a 2 year old Multistrada before they complain about KTMs :blast

From experience the KTM loses quicker than the MTS , mines a year old and was offered 12k for it a few weeks ago with 10K miles on it ( decided to keep it for a bit)1190S is easily the bike that has depreciated the quickest for me , however as others have pointed out it was a fun bike and that's how the cookie crumbles.
there were hardly any deals on KTM's when I sold mine either :(
 
I took a £6k hit on my MTS a couple of weeks before it was 2 years old and the warranty ran out but at the same time I bought the 1190 with a load of extras thrown in for £1.5k under list. The biggest difference is that the MTS was a turd that I had to get rid of when the warranty ran out and so far the 1190 doesn't worry me like that.
 
Well I've just bought a SD SE and got shite p/x on my year old fully specked VFR800 so its not just KTbooms (although I hope the boom bit has all been fixed now).
Had a RC8 few years ago and loved it but the porous crankcases and random stalling killed it for me, having said that I'd still had another (R)
 
dont know what the prices are this year, but in december last year you could buy a 1050 for around £8400 and they offered me £7000 on my 1982 BMW (it was rather special) I should have taken it.
