KTM 250 350 and 450 EXCs are being offered at VAT free prices so a new 450 is mid £6 K absolute bargain, if I hadn't just bought a new M3 and a 1290R Id be there to replace my 3 year old 450.

For those people not used to to working with VAT
if somethings plus VAT its 20 per cent on the pre VAT price.£8333.33 plus 20 per cent £1666.67 = £10,000
if you're going to remove the VAT then you are removing the VAT element of the price including VAT £10,000 less VAT content £1666.67 =£8333.33
so if you're adding VAT to something its plus one fifth
if you removing VAT from something its minus one sixth.
So the deal is the same price as if VAT was not charged.

And, of course, it's a bit of a sales con. Everyone knows VAT is 20% yet the actual reduction is somewhat less.

Fcuks Sake.
The new model Freeride 250 is £5.5K! I'm tempted. Brilliant bikes. No 500's though as they've been so popular there aren't many left apparently, so no sconto!
