I'm gonnie ha'e a plate of porridge afore I leave. I've just been oot. It's feckin cauld.

See yiz there :thumb2

Good day oot but even wi' guid gear on, I was feckin freezin, especially on the way hame. Good turn oot for a dreich, cauld day. Perthshire is really braw in the autumn but you couldnae see very much for fog in aroond Dunkeld.

The distillery must have been glad we went. I think maist folk bought a bottle.

The tour guide was the "famous! wan :augie so me, Wully and Boatman gave the tour a miss. Guid grub yet again at the Moulin Hotel.

I'm gonnie jump in a bath and then set sail back up to Pitlochry for the Dougie Maclean/Julie Fowlis gig the night.

Hope everybidy made it hame wi'oot incident.

Then a swift run down the road passing a few gritting trucks on the way.

Top day out.

Cheers for organising it Ronno:clap:clap

Sorry folks. I was down in Dunbar Friday night and it became a late one, hence the no show at Pitlochry.

Hope you had a good run on such a fine day.

Good to get out and blast away a few cobwebs.

Is this the only bank in Scotland still producing :augie

Cracking day out. Good to see you all. Thanks Ronno for organising :thumb2

About to have my tea followed by a wee nightcap or two :ChrisKelly

Home at 17:50 having taken the scenic route back around Loch Tay and then Lochearnhead Callander etc.

Sure was a bit chill in places. Glasgow traffic was dire, apparantly the motorway is shut for maintenance or summat.

240 miles for the day which I would have completed on one tank if I hadn't wimped out :blast

Thanks Ronno, a good day:thumb2 Good to see so many folk there.

Right onto that cask strength (59.4 abv) Edradour.
Tried a wee bit straight, now without getting all poncy n telling you how it tasted a bit like Morag’s gusset after it had been brushed against wild gooseberries n then coated in chocolate with a touch of cinnamon, coz I don’t think it tasted like any of these things, apart from the gusset. :augie
Lets just say that I drank some n in ma heid something like this was going on …......

I went to the Dougie Maclean concert in Pitlochry tonight and the guy (Donald) who served us oor coffee at the distillery was workin there, as was the German lassie Annette who was in the shop. A long day for them. Edradour were sponsoring the gig. They were handin' oot whisky and liqueur as you arrived.

Believe it or no' there was a beautiful guitar on display at the Edradour Caledonia stall. Turns oot it was handmade from the barrel of the first run o' this whisky. I got talkin to the guy on the stall. Right decent spud. I asked him if he worked a teh distillery and he confirmed that he did. I telt him aboot oor visit. later on he was on stage. It was the distillery owner. I should have speared him for a bit o' discoont :blast

A was told on guid authority that the cask strength (aboot fifity quid) in the purple coloured tin is THE whisky fae that distillery. Is that the ane you bought Gordon?
