My 2005 1150 GSA has been running perfectly, but out of the blue I now only have "Residual" (for residual read "Feck all")
rear brake. As Dennis said "Stick your feet down - you'll stop faster".
Luckily I've got into the habit of hardly using the back brake. It was fine the last time I put it away in the shed, but the next time I took it out the residual warning light came on immediately, ie before I'd even sat on it. The front brakes work perfectly. So what the hell happened when it was safely locked away that caused this?
It has been suggested that if I turn the ignition on and leave it for about 15 seconds it will "reset" but haven't had a chance to try it yet. Any suggestions if the "reset" doesn't work?
It is due a service soon, but I'm hoping to take it for a blat tomorrow.
