Funny, that, I thought we had an IT forum somewhere on here. Or, like Mrs J says, can't I see for looking?

Anyway, bought myself a new Dell laptop on Friday but I'm really struggling with Windows 7.

Half the programs I have won't work, like the Sony Ericsson PC suite for my K320i phone. As I really couldn't be arsed getting a new phone and upgrading all my other stuff, I thought I'd downgrade the laptop to XP which I find so much better and more stable.

The computer came with a seperate disc with all the drivers for the wireless and stuff. Is it simply a case of loading XP and then loading the drivers before installing all my usual programs like Office 2002, MS Money and the other bits I like to use?

Thanks

J

I'd really try to stay with Win7 if I were you.

XP drops of the edge of the world soon - being ditched by Microsoft support so no security updates etc.

I bought a Eee Pc with XP, changed it to Ubuntu, then Win7 and back to Ubuntu.
Not a geek, it's getting OSX on as soon as I can sort out some glitches.

Win7 was a very, very good update from Vista. If I had a genuine copy and not a 28 day try-out I would have probably kept it on.

Wanna sell your copy?
