Well I got the left Downpipe off after a lot of hammering with a hammer and lump of wood and a heat gun, the left one is solid, I’ve beaten the crap out of it trying to shift it, applied heat, doused in wd40 but it’s not moving, have searched on here and can see a suggestion using a tree and ratchet straps, but that’s not an option, tempted to cut it off if a Dremel will do it :blast

They’re a bstard to remove even once you’ve got the nuts off?

One stud snapped when undoing, the other is ok, I have battered the hell out of the rhs pipe with a block of wood in the bend using a lump hammer……no movement :blast have just smothered it in ACF50 and called it a night

Have you tried running the engine til it’s hot?

I got mine out by removing the spark plug. Then place a drift or pipe in the tunnel adjacent to the throttle body and which crosses through the cylinder head right up to the exhaust manifold. Hammer the drift against the downpipe manifold and it should force out the header.
Does that make sense ? Worked for me.

Interesting I’ll have a look, thanks:thumb2

i got some replacement ones first .....then got out the angle grinder , and cut them off , then called a mate to get the studs out , it took him all day .
