Any body on here use them? If so how good are they in the comfort department? Etc......
Any altenatives?

Cant comment on the Draggin Jeans but i have a pair of HOOD which are very comfy but a bit warm in hot weather, not had any probs in uk, but sweated like mad in spain.:thumb2

I have draggin and hood.

draggin deffo best out of two (the hood ones are not really jeans - a strange fabric).

Downside for me on draggin jeans (black classic) - sizing - a pair of 34's are actually 34's with kevlar inside making them about 32.5, so you think - go for 36 then. The 36 drown me.

I am living with the 34's but not very happy with fit

I bought Red Route jeans. Cost £90 rather than the silly prices of other makes.

I've had them for a few months and worn them probably about 6 times.
Very comfortable, Kevlar lined around knees and arse and have pockets at knees & hips so you can add armour if you like.
Just like wearing regular jeans but with the added protection. :thumb2

I will be selling mine as they are now too small for me (put on a couple of pounds since stop smoking :augie)
They are 34" waist with short leg if any use to you let me know before I put them in the for sale section.

Draggin

Got a couple of pairs, best to order a size above those that you usually take I think. I bought a pair of the relaxed fit or whatever they're called from the American Draggin Website. The advantage there being that you can order your correct leg length and the kevlar inserts are in place at the right level. I think that most of the UK outlets, Gericke and such like only do them in one leg length. I wear them all the time, just back from Italy where it was 30+ most days and they were just fine.

Draggin are fab.

Had two pairs of Silverbacks.

Love them.

You need to try them on as diff models fit different shapes.

draggin jeans: 4 month test ish

Hi,
My wife an I have just nearly:cool: completed (still in Baltimore) 18k miles around the USA Yukon and Alaska. Including The Dalton Highway, wearing Draggin Jeans!
We chose to take them instead of our normal gear, including Twat suite suit trousers because they are so comfortable and easy to live in and you look cool... :thumb

We went for the layering system. If the weather was cold we wore thermals underneath and if wet, we placed waterproof trouser over top.

The only thing we did was wear motorx knee pads when we went off road.

Comfort level 8.5/ 10
Durability 10\10
Protection: don't know haven't fell off (whilst wearing them) YET!
Washing Issues: none

Top tip. Draggin Jeans have allot of Kevlar ( more than the others by all accounts) and it can rub a little, especialy after 6 hours in 30 + degree c. wear long boxer shorts to prevent rubbing.

Down side: sizing is a little tricky: waist and lengths can vary. Try before you buy.

Will I continue to wear them at home?; definitely for summer: I will wear knee pads just to be safer er er . Crazy British drivers.!!!

hope this helps

Blimey! Certainly a mixed bag of opinions there! I wanted some trousers to wear in the summer heat and I'm a bit unsure now! :D Thanks for the replies though. I think I'll head to H G tomorrow and try some on. Cheers. :thumb2

I've got Draggin jeans and used them every day to go to work in the warm 1/2 of the year. I haven't experienced the extreme warmth that some people go on about( even in the crazy temps we've had here on the continent lately.
I was going to buy another pair to take the pressure off trying to wash and dry them so quickly, but the price tag smarts abit so got a couple of pairs of 69'ers jeans from Polo motorrad in Germany normal price is 69 euro (almost three pairs for the price of a pair of one draggin jeans) I managed to bag them for 50 euro each on sale.
The are at least as good as the Draggin jeans. They have pockets for Armour with soft-side velco sewn in so you can place the armour correctly. They use real Du Pont Kevlar. Their fit is a size big i'd say and on the "relaxed' fit side. 10 euro postage to the UK. Can't go wrong. ( except it seams Germany Harley riders like them going by the piccie below)

I wear draggin jeans and love them - even if they are a bit pricey. The ladies cut actually fit properly too. The black ones come up larger than the blue ones by about half a size.

They are very comfortable - and look like ordinary jeans. You need to buy the belt thing with them so you can zip into your jacket but it's subtle and doesn't look odd against a normal belt.

You do need to try them on as they do different styles and have different fits. Bike Stop carry a stock of them - and will get other sizes in for you if you are anywhere near North Herts. They are also pretty good at advising on sizing.

I find the other makes of jeans don't fit so well and don't have the same comfort level.

It's a small world innit! As it turns out Hood jeans' factory is about 5 miles from where I live and my wife knows the lady who owns / works there! :D
Aparently our kids went to pre school together. I'm off for a fitting during the week. :thumb2 I'll let you know what they are like.

I have 2 pairs of dragging, blue and black. Black ones have faded a bit. I wear them to work and have done all year ( didn't ride December to Marchish) I don't find them too hot in the summer in the UK. If you search YouTube there are clips of a guy being dragged behind a bike on his arse without injury. I'll definitely get another pair but as mentioned before make sure they are the correct length!

I'm happy with my Hood jeans.

Loadsa protective lining - which makes them more insulated than 'normal' jeans, perfect for up here.

You can order specific leg lengths, the price is good (£79 IIRC) and the inserts can be moved around a bit to suit.

Can you move them to the groin area? .:augie Big Boy..:ymca

I got given a pair of draggin jeans that my wifes friend bought then found they shrunk on the first wash. I had the leg tailored to suit my stumpy shanks and they are mega comfy.

Unfortunately for me my teenage daughter liked the look of them so I ended up buying her a pair, not cheap but if it keeps her skin safe they are worth every penny.

I've got some Lindstrands jeans like these. Very well made, comfortable and will take hip and knee armour if you want it fitted. I didn't wear anything else on the bike in France last year. They're so much nicer to wear in hot weather.

Quick comment on these..............
Got a pair of black Draggin jeans....actually they are waxed and feel like those Barbour coats the country folk use.
Bloody expensive at 150.00 but you get what you pay for.
I'm a fat tosser 6ft 4" with a 42 inch waist 34" leg and they fit me perfectly.
Mine have are made of what I call a stretchy cotton / canvassy fabric which although is a snug fit, still are very comfortable to wear, with enough stretch to enable underwear like ......er longjohns to be worn with no ill effect from bunching at rear of knees / groin when touring..
Totally waterproof and as they are snug all the protective kevlar bits are kept right where you need them. (untried but do instill confidence like leathers do)
Plus.......I just love the smell of the waxed jeans.........ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh:ymca:pullface
Got a pair of cheaper draggin jeans that look like std blue jeans with the fitted knee pads and arse protection at a 3rd of the price and never wear them...bloody knee protection chafes like buggery....amongst other dangly bits.:augie
