Dragging back brake after fitting hugger?

Is this a particular batch problem or a problem that is going to effect us all i.e. a recall?

It would seem that there is some variability from bike to bike re. the brake line length/bend in the banjo and would appear to affect very few bikes. In my case it interfered witht he ability of the caliper to 'float' freely.

Sorry - a bit hasty in my posting.

I've just been out to take a look and can see that the hose has a fair bend in it and thus comes into contact with the bracket. However, I've only just had new rear pads fitted and the pads only seem to come in contact with the disk once during a revolution. Probably means I've got a another warped disk :( - I've only just had the front one replaced! Guess the dealer should have checked both disks, not just the front.

I'm off for a 5 hour spin tomorrow so I'll check what the damage is upon my return.
Before the ride this morning I became a bit paranoid and decided to file away the area of the bracket that came in contact with the brake pipe. At last after several attempts, there was about 0.5mm clearance - no time left as I had to go. Only did 130 miles or so - it was an observed ride so wasn't on the brakes that much. However, there's just a tiny trace of dust on the rim (they're new so could just be the high spots) and the wheel rotates freely while on the centre stand. The pad touches slightly at one point during each revolution but not enough to cause me any concern. Case closed.

Outtomunch, what was the solution to the problem? I have the same thing happening (front brake cool, but rear hot). The MC team are on holiday at present, so I cannot get an answer from them.
Thanks

No we're not....we don't close until 20th July & all e-mails received before midday on Wednesday will receive a response.

However we will be publishing a Technical Support bulletin, before noon tomorrow, here: http://www.motorradconcepts.com/Techsupportfaq.htm

Cheers

Just a quickie, semi inebriated after Kelso and 3 1/3 thousand miles in 20 days with nary a break.

I fixed my rear brake line which was fouling the bracket, courtesy of a screwdriver and a bit of cloth. No more draggin'.

I reason however that the caliper moves towards the disc as the pads wear, how can it be otherwise?
