Servicing my son's 1100s and found there was no sealing washer on the gearbox drain plug. Looking at an online parts catalogue it appears this is the case. Can someone confirm this please as it goes against a lifetime practice of always using a sealing washer on a drain plug. Thanks in advance

Your right, no drain washer and not needed. I take it you are draining from the large drain plug under the gearbox?
The usual drain plug is the lower one on the side of the gearbox, the upper one being the fill/level plug (both use washers).

Thanks for that
