DrAlf’s Spirited Whales Ride – Easter 2014.

Nice to bump into you guys at the cafe and you all looked a little shattered. Probably the effort in keeping up with that clonky old 1150 of Dr Alf's:augie

What a great trip!!

Thanks to Adam and everyone else that made this trip awesome.
Can't wait for the next one.:thumb

What a cracking couple of days.:thumb When the weather's as good as it was this weekend, Wales really does take some beating.:rob:beerjug:

Cheers, Paul, for getting a picture of me going to the toilet!:blast:D

Many thanks Adam. Great trip and good to meet some faces from the forum and elsewhere. Sorry to have lost the group a couple of times.......

Andy

A couple of times?:P:D

I'm currently downloading photo's & video from the spirited 2 days so will post some of these later (and no Adam, I won't put any links to the video's!!). However, if people want to see the video's, they are available in a gift box set for £40 posted....:P

So, until my later post.....WHAT A FOOKING AWESOME 2 DAYS!!!!!!!!

The weather gods were so in our corner and it was perfect. I was blown away @ how good the roads were, so perfect for les bikes ridden in a spirited styli, and the scenery was simply breathtaking. A great bunch of blokes capped it off superbly, and I hope to enjoy more beer & bollarx with you @ a UK GSer do this summer.

For info, my total mileage from start to stop was 814.2, so would be interesting to know others and what the total collective mileage was for the entire group...cos I'm sad like that!! :D

So, some thx.....

> Adam of course, for organising a belting trip out
> Me for being TEC on day 1, and John for day 2
> Nutty for dressing for dinner on Friday night like a red neck, and for the superb ride up to the Air Balloon on Friday morning (coo-ee Mr Shifter :D)
> Don for nicking his wife's shirt & wearing it on Sat morning
> Andy for being the only one to take his GS off road for the 'money shot' in Snowdonia NP
> Pat for his usual droll sense of humour & making me laugh like a drain
> Stevie P for showing us some of his secret places

& the rest of you for being an all round good bunch.

Oh....and Cooky....for proving that the drop off system doesn't always work.....:blast

Chris (Sgt B)...sorry I couldn't take a coffee with you & Jo, but rest assured I'll bend your ear @ The Hog Raost :D

Hope everyone got back safely, and it was a pleasure to have ridden you......ridden WITH you.....:blast

Keith, mileage door to door - 643.7 miles.
Not too sure how many more trips like that the old TDM will handle!

Spirited, well it lived up to it's name :D
What a great weekend, Adam showed me some roads and routes I'd ridden many times, some I have forgotten and some I never knew at all :clap
Track log saved for future reference :augie
Great bunch of lads and good riders all, it was a pleasure to ride with you all.
Well done Adam for organising and well done to all who attended, kudos to those of you who travelled so far to attend :bow
Keith my Total mileage was a little over half yours at 420 ish but then this was in "my backyard" so to speak.

Just under 700 miles for me this weekend, door to door.:beerjug:

Thanks again for a great trip nice to spend time with like minded lads all a good standard,we are too quick to head for mainland Europe and forget that we have this on our doorstep.:clap

What a cracking couple of days that was. Perfect weather, stunning roads and great company. Thanks a lot to all those that came along and made it a brilliant trip. Excellent standard of riding from all.

Thanks to Bounce and Paintman for the tail end Charlie duties – much appreciated.

Thanks also to 2WH and BHT for pointing out a couple of cracking new roads. I think that Greg on the R1 especially enjoyed BHT’s gravel strewn suggestion:augie

I hope you all had as much fun as I did:thumb

I hope you all had as much fun as I did

Certainly did Adam, It was a fabulous couple of days of 'spirited' and thankfully incident free riding, I had so much fun and 'Whales', in the glorious sunshine we enjoyed, has never looked better.

Although I did wonder about the wisdom of a MOD pub in the middle of a firing range.:jes

I will claim mileage rights with 909 recorded, but that included a little deviation to visit a lovely lady with a broken leg in Devon. I agree copious quantities of wine will surely speed up your recovery Ann.;)

Many thanks Adam for planning and leading, only one u turn in two days is a spectacular achievement. :clap:clap:clap and to those who have never attended a Ukgser ride or event, get on your bike and go to one, you never know who you might bump into.

:D

Cheers all John.

Adam et al.,
What a great weekend.
Everybody has covered the essentials but for me to say that I really enjoyed the trip and thanks to all who helped.
Pat.

Dr Alf's Spirited Whales ride

Thanks everyone for a great weekend. I will post some pictures and there are quite a few as I had my camera "woman" on the back! We stayed the extra couple of days and managed to clock up 900 miles and two ice creams!:thumby:

Good to have you both along Richie. Pix would be great. I'm considering putting on a 2 up Spirited ride a little later in the year - maybe June. I'll let you know the details:)

PS: Welcome to the site:thumb
