Drill stuck

I have an excellent cordless drill, powerful and efficient. Unfortunately, the chuck is stuck. (nice rhyme) I understand that the chuck can be removed. Any suggestions how to do it?

if it is a reversible chuck... there will be a screw down the middle of the chuck. before you can remove the chuck you have to remove it

if it is a keyed chuck open the chuck fully put the chuck key in one of the holes for it and hit it with a hammer in the same direction as the chuck was opening... this should make the chuck loosen itself from the drill

you have to find a way to grip the chuck and tap it hard....stilson or a set of footprints would do it

Put a chain wrench around the chuck, then hit it hard ...anticlockwise
