Is it right that the little tiny hole on the closure for the oil filter should be made bigger?? Is it ok to drill it out with a 4mm drill if so?
Drilling the filter cover on GSPD.

Never done it...never had to !! Airheads are best ( mostly ) left as standard

I agree Kenny, standard is always my thought. It was a recall fix by BMW at the time though apparantly?...to widen the hole from 2mm to 4mm something to do with the oil return from the cooler....?.
It was to reduce the pressure in the oil filter. Your supposed to drill them out but most don't and then wonder why the oil cooler leak

I screwed up earlier. It was to reduce the pressure in the oil cooler not in the filter.
Or you can just buy a new one from BMW, new ones have a 4mm hole.
