After feeling some strange vibrations while riding my 90 100GS I feared the worse. So this morning I went to my local tool shop and purchased the necessary tools to remove the bevel box. After a couple of hours it was apart and my worst fears were confirmed. The rear UJ on the driveshaft is completely shot, pieces of needle bearings all over the place and more slack than a houseful of hookers.
So onto Motorworks website I went....just as well you sit down when on the computer.
So here's my question, what options do I have?

I don't suppose anyone has a spare.....ha ha.

Just a thought but, ( i have looked in the search ) has any body ever thought of fitting a CV joint instead of the UJ? only ask cos i have been to Pats lads garage where he is building a racin Skyline. This thing is going to put 800BHP outa the arse end through two tiny little CV's. The guy who biulds the shafts will come out to check Tim's set up and do the measure up, then build the shafts..have to ask how much on my next visit.. OH! and the CV covers are rite neat too...they just clip on.

US airhead guru "Oak" tried to get a CV in place of a u-joint and failed.... don't know the reasons...

The best option state side is HPMguy... he rebuilds GS driveshafts with circlipped replaceable, greaseable u-joints as well as replacing the stock rubber damper with three choices of urathane... check your and I'd bet the joits are out of phase....
