Dropped bike...

Without Gizmos i’m sure we have all been there at some point, I thought that it was a a badge of honour not only that I dropped it but more importantly I managed (without help, and mostly embarrassed) picked it up quickly, and make as if nothing happened.

I remember my first 1100 GS, stopped on a cambered country road, thought when I put it on the side stand, thought it went over with quite a lean on. It did not fall over. But I had a hell of a job a) getting it upright and b) pushing it to the opposite camber so I could get back on.

We all learn lessons, how the bikes work, and more importantly how we can handle them.

my bike doesn't have this feature , but i've dropped it at a standstill ? do you always have to put the side stand out when you get off ?

HTH.

You only need the sidestand when you want to park the bike leaning to the left. :thumb2

Talking of gadgets and gizmos I’ve just a new A class that has a lane deviation warning. It not only gives a wobble of the wheel, it puts the brakes on the side that’s crossing the line.

Scares the shit out of you. You can switch it off but it switches itself back on when the ignition cycles.
If it put the brakes on for the side that crosses the line would it not pull the car in that direction?
