Myself, thebuyer (Andy) and bbb (Bill) are going back for another tuition track day with Hopp Rider Training. Its a fantastic day.

Posh petrol is definitely better in my GSA. Ordinary unleaded feels like the exhaust is plugged up.
It has a knock sensor and sets the spark timing for the most efficient advance point.
Retarded ignition - used on lower octane fuels - causes more heat to escape down the exhaust. Bike is less efficient and exhaust valves run hotter.
My Yamaha XJ900 Diversion behaved exactly the same on any UK petrol but that had a fixed spark timing map.
