Any quick tips on removing front sprocket on a Drz:nenau

Tap back the tab washer and get a mate to sit on the bike with his foot on the back brake and the bike in gear before you try to undo the nut. Are you replacing the chain & sprockets or just the gearbox bush & seal ???

Oh bollox:(

Chain and sprockets, chains off and in the bin, rear sprocket is off, brake pads removed to get replaced
Gearbox bush and seal seem ok:thumb
Will try your sensible method when all my bits arrive:thumb
Cheers

Without the chain and sprocket fitted, try wedging a piece of wood (eg hammer handle) between the sprocket and casing:thumb

Gearbox bush & seal

Unless the bush is of the stainless steel variety I would take this opportunity to replace it now along with the seal :thumb

DRZ motors are expensive to replace and difficult to find :nono

Took the sprocket off and it appears to be stainless variety
What were the originals like:nenau

It will cost you dearly!!

Check the bush with a magnet as stainless steel is not magnetic.
There is a small o-ring also so make sure its good condition.
If anything is suspicious, change it as engine failure will occur when oil leaks out.
Timpo.
