Dumb question No1

Behind the left hand side panel appears to be a relay that has a permanent 12v live going to it, live even with the ignition switched off.

Can I wire in a permanent Optimate lead here or, will this electrickery canbus wizardry throw a wobbly and tantrum if I do so?

Och Aye... off the top of my head, that looks like the starter motor relay. (If it is, it makes perfect sense that the red terminal registers permanent 12V+.)

If that is the started relay then the terminal I'm thinking of will only come live when the starter button is pressed.... no worries, back to plan A

....it's pissing with rain and for some reason the batteries gone flat, can you jump start these feckers can you even get to the right bits to give it a go?

You're thinking of the one on the switched side of the relay

Anyway, the question was cleared up quite some time ago.... Reading the manual helped
