Anyone using Dunlop trailsmart tyres on their LC 1200/50. Would value opinions of performance in wet/dry road conditions and road noise...

Not on the LC, on a standard Hexhead.

Awesome tyres all rounder tyres, pretty good on the wet I'd say. Decent mileage. Obviously not great off the asphalt if it gets wet/muddy, but that's fair. Can't say about noise as my old GS creates a lot of wind noise with its screen, so it covers up anything.
Give them a try.

Thanks for the reply, mainly for road use so off-road not an issue. Currently using Metzler Tourance and they are terrible in the wet, are good for high mileage but my gsa feels like it's hinged in the middle on a wet roundabout...

Used the older trailsmarts ( good but high wear rates on the rear) and their replacement the Trailsmart Max on my GSA LC and they were excellent , quiet with a very low wear rate (over 7500 to the rear).
However, they were discontinued last year and I was unable to get them as replacements , went for the Meridians .......never again.

If you can get hold of Trailsmart Max's buy them

Oh you'll probably like them.
I always found them very good. Had three sets of them and travelled extensively in shit weather on one trip with them, loaded bike. Good tyres.

I've also used them on track under the pouring rain and on wet-ish asphalt and they were ok.
