DVD - IPOD

Hi,

I have just been ripping and converting DVD's to play on my ipod, if anyone needs to know what free software I use then let me know. By the time a movie is compressed to play on the Ipod it comes at at around 1gb per movie, just done 25 of mine !!

Is this so you can use the ipod as a sort of film player i.e. that you connect to a screen to play it back?
I don't think I'd want to watch a film on the ipod screen.

yes, it's quite tolerable on a normal ipod screen, and much better on an iphone or ipod touch screen, but i do need to wear my glasses.

apple do a nifty cable that outputs video to a tv as well. handy in hotels, but they need to have the right sockets fitted.

DVDFab 6 is good. It supports batch converting so takes the tedium out of converting whole series of shows.
