I got one of those for Xmas.
Seems to work really well, but I have one question that the manual doesn't cover:

How many times can you re-record on the discs?

Do they ever lose their quality?

not actually used dvd-rw but i believe it's possible to re-record many times over. even more so if your machine can use dvd-ram format.

How Many Times

My Pioneer DVD recorder manual quotes you should be able to use a good quality DVD-RW disk "at least 1000 times"

it doesn't really matter... you'll have scratched the disc's long before you get to 1000 records
