I want to transfer a few DVDs to my Bold , but the DVDs are protected .Is there any software out there that can do that?

I've heard that dvd decryptor is good for that
don't know if you can still get it

I use 'Magic DVD Ripper' to copy to HDD, then use Nero 8 to burn from HDD to disk. It can shrink the original to fit on a single layer disk, and has an easy interface to master, and has never failed to handle any material I have tried it with.

Blackberry Bold and Magic DVD Ripper

Tried Slysoft ( couldt transfer to the Bold:nenau ) and Magic DVD Ripper, which works very well on the Bold. But must set the transfer to the best quality ,otherwise the sound is lagging .
Unfortunately the Bold is going back to Vodafone .Even in standby with all functions turned of ,or to minimum it was draining power at a alarming rate ,less than 20 hours. A new battery didn't solve the problem .
Allegedly there is a patch to solve the problem .

You can download Daniusoft DVD Ripper to rip protected DVD on PC.

As a good dvd ripper, it can convert DVD by customizing file size, ripping any DVD clip, selecting target subtitle and audio track, ripping long movie , cropping DVD video, captures a particular sceen from DVD when preview and rips dvd with s few clicks.
It's new upgrade to rip DVD to ISO, MKV, MKA file and allow you rip DVD free one month.:rob

DVD43

There is also a little utility called DVD43 that runs in the background and takes virtually zero resources.
When it sees an encrypted dvd it removes/bypasses it.

Works seamlessly with lots of dvd burning programmes.

Freeware, which is nice;)

I also use DVD fab
and DVD Shrink to get the files down to 4.7 gig max, cos sneaky companies make sure that when you crack the DVD the files are over 4.7 gig so can't be written to a normal DVD +/- R
Loss of quality is usually undetectable, I've been using both progs for 5 years now :augie

Both these programs are FREE :thumb2:bounce1:clap

REDBOOTS Cheers for dvd43, I'd previously used DVD region killer but it's no longer available :( DVD 43 fills the gap perfectly :thumb2

Handbrake - http://handbrake.fr/ I use it on my Mac rips pretty much every DVD I've thrown at it. Converts the file into a number of different formats so you can watch on your Ipod / Iphone / Playstation / Xbox or computer - and its free!

latest version of Handbrake does not have the decryptor. you need VLC Player installed so it can "borrow" the relevant files.

i use Visual Hub.
