Just had several dyno runs at TTS and got them to try the various Cat Code Plug 'settings'.
My bike: Single spark 2002, remus y-piece and revolution can with the baffle removed. Mileage 14k.
And the results....no great difference between any of them. I tried the bike with the yellow CCP, Steptoe shorting link and with no relay at all.
In all cases the bike runs slightly lean throughout, but with nothing to worry about. It runs leanest without any CCP plug, but not dangerously so.
Well thats sorted that then? I think it really is what day of the week and who assembled your bike that makes the difference.
Sorry, did not get the print out, but it was just shy of 80bhp.

The black engine option helps, but the tesco-value blue/white models are only marginally better than yellow bikes.

Black bikes are fastest!

Did you remember to 'reset' the motronic between settings? (ignition on, fuse 5 out, two twists / snap back of the throttle) If not, you have been testing it on the same settings.

Also, even after a 'reset' it takes the motronic a certain period to 'learn' the latest settings from all info coming in from the various sensors - apparently.

Your experiment could be inaccurate.

i take it all the runs were on WOT ( wide open throttle ) from low revs. ?

The 3D fuel map looks at fueling on all throttle openings for low speed and hi speed.

Got any graphs ?

Yep, did the old fuse out and reset by twisting the grips. Each go had a few steady runs, then the wide open throttle run. I will see if TTS can post me the graphs. They were all very very close to each other. I might run it with the steptoe link, as I can only imagine its down to how the bike feels on the road that makes the difference. As the dyno operator said, you can have dips everywhere, but not feel them when riding. The power curve went a little up/down at the top end, although this was proberbly as the limiter chimed in. Might consider a teleclusion to rich it up a little if I can get one cheap.
