What is the difference between reporting an e-mail as spam than blocking it's sender?

Most spam has a faked e-mail address so trying to block it is a waste of time.

By "reporting" do you mean with your ISP or on your own PC'c anti-spam software?

If it's the first they may try and track the source and block it on their servers. If it's the second you can flag it as spam and your software will treat anything else whish is very similar as spam and automatically dump it in the Spam file. There is a risk that this will result in non-spam being mis-diagnosed so remember to check your spam folder for messages that you actually want to receive.

I personally feel that all "Spammers" should compulsorily euthanased(sp).
