The only BMW motorcycle I have owned before the GS LC was a C1
Which incidentally saved me from an ambulance ride, anyway that's not
The point - the point is, that the drive belt lasted 3000 miles almost to
The mile (which I calculated later) but about 100 miles or so before the
Failure the 'pull away' at lights/junctions etc. became slightly rough
Which I found all too easy to ignore until sat on the roadside swearing.

SO I was wondering , having read about a variety of issues on the GS
Like drive shaft failures, and gearbox nasties - have you experienced
Warnings in the main or are they 'out of the blue' and therefore more
Of a pain.

Your early warning would have been not to buy an LC....

some of the crap posted on here will put you right off buying a GSA lc …id advise you to try one for yourself and if you like it and can strike a good deal..go fer it ! i did and i have not looked back ,,great machines ..should anything actually happen like a break down etc, you can be rest assured that BMWs customer service is second to none and you will get looked after …

Agreed and you can extend the warranty after 2 years , I find dealers look after you . On the 7 GS's/GSA's I have owned I have never has a Catastrophic breakdown .There are normally issues when a new model appears , and the run out Models are usually the most reliable trouble free bikes . The new GSA is Fantastic , it really goes , love it:bow:thumby:

You either get a good'un or a not so good'un, build a bond with the dealer that way if the shit hits the fan they'll see ya right hopefully.

Tis a cracking tool when its on song, but FFS do not use water to wash it, as it will corrode :) :) unless you have one of these.

Most impressed with Robbo, a man who has had 7 machines and a wife
With three breasts , certainly someone with dedication.
The photo of the device has my curiosity - is it a type of high pressure
Enema pump?

The Air Blaster is one of my favourite workshop tools. I've had mine for years. It's amazing where you can blast water out of when washing your bike. Yes you can use compressed air or a leaf blower but the blaster's air is warm and does a better job. You don't need a bigger version than this one though. It's more than adequate.

Never had a real mechanical problem

With my BMW 2013 GS. At least, not a problem

Caused through fault of the bike Only rider

Error. I like you haiku style prose. I might adopt
