Couple of little mods that I did a while ago to make keeping the front of the RT a bit easier.

1. Stainless Mesh Grille over the oil cooler radiator. Keeps all them pesky flies and road crap out of it.

2. Satin black s/a vinyl over lower part of screen. This is the area that you cannot (or at least I can't anyway) get your hand in to clean. The only otherway is to remove the cover plates and screen. I felt that one day it would end in tears with either a stripped thread or a dropped screen

What do you clean your screen with? From previous experience with 1100RT screens, I now only use water and kitchen towels.

Soak in water (squished flies that is) then soft cloth followed by screen cleaner with soft cloth. No scratches and lovely clean screen. Been doing it that way for several years now and always seems to work.

The oil screen also keeps birds from ruining your oil cooler when you are traveling 100 MPH. I had a bird commit suicide in mine last year.
