Not sure I'm understanding your logic , lets put aside the fact that i personally think road riding in large groups is utter rat shit.

Why would numbers really matter? I would love the chance to spend some quality, one on one, Man on man time with Tufty.

And secondly (once again ignoring my personal opinion) if others feel the way you do maybe knowing it won't just be them and (lets put it out there) the overbearingly Camp and prone to un solicited sexual advances Tufty

A slightly slipping clutch will present few problems on a tufty rideout
If it breaks you can get the recovery guy to drop it at the workshop
