East Mids - Autumn Weekend - 29, 30, 31 August 2025

Love to attend but not sure if I will be setup for 2 wheels by then (long story best told with a beer). Are motorhomes allowed at this shindig ?
From memory (two years ago) the requirement is to allow those with tents get into the field. Those in the wobbly boxes, park up at the far end (near the field gate) of the carpark. @tuftywhite being the organising party, he will have greater details though.

Motorhomes are allowed, but as numbers of campers are slightly higher this year, some of the motorhomes/vans may have to stay in the carpark rather than the camping bit.

Understood. Absolutely no problem on my part - as long as I can find a spot to park, I'm good.

Another sorry from me Tufty.

I've not sorted a bike out, so can't make this now. I hope its a splendid affair.

Loved the idea of a big bike version of the byway route too.

At the mo, by my reckoning we have 5 for the off road route. I rode the route on Tuesday with Paul, Lee and Steve. It’s all very dry and dusty and all very rideable with 70/30 tyres, Pirelli’s scorpion trail kind of things. In any event there is always a ride around and we won’t be leaving anyone behind. It will be a full day as I’ve added a few extra lanes. I would recommend bringing a drink and a snack along as we will be stopping en-route. There will also be a proper lunch stop and coffee stops along the way. The route is 110 miles ish.
I'm now heading up to Sunderland to watch the women’s rugby, then up to Scotland for a week. So I won’t be at Hickling until late on Friday. See you all then.

Apologies if this has been mentioned already but what time does this shindig start on Friday - what time can we start arriving from ?

Just looking ahead and wondering if is there room for me, my GSA and my tent here chaps, to say hello?
Need a bit of a break from things and a ride over/camp over and more than a few beers in the pub should see me right !

many thanks

Saturday Road Ride.
Leave The Old Warf Tearooms, Hickling at 10 am.
Ride around sunny Lincolnshire approx. 130 miles.
Stop for lunch halfway round at the Ragged Apron Woodhall Spa. LN106QX.
Please leave with a full tank.
Derek is tail end Charlie.

Looking forward to it

I'll be driving up early on the Saturday morning with my 390 Duke in the back of my van so I arrive well before breakfast.

Can't stay because I'm off on another trip on Sunday so will drive home after dinner in the pub.

Not long now!!

Could all of those coming in a van please make sure that you leave room for the tents before parking on the grass, so that tent campers get first pick of spots before the campervans take their places.

There should be room for everyone, but we may need to be a bit more organised than the randomness of previous years. :D
