Right then, let's give this a go. I'm organising this as a sort of take it or leave it affair.

Don't need firm numbers, just turn up if you want to. It would be great if you could indicate your interest and if you intend to take part, even if you can't make it at the last minute. It will also give me rough numbers to give to the pub and the café.

All welcome. Not just East Mids.

Saturday breakfast will be at café at the canal basin over the road.

Camping is at the rear of the pub, there is hard standing for a camper van or two, plus carpark. No overnight facilities once the pub has closed.

Camping is free as long as we eat at the pub Saturday evening.

Please post on here if you are attending and your options from the choices below.

I fully agree with you David.

The day rides linked to the camping weekends have been a great success.

However, the majority who attend are like me and live with in travelling distance to participate in the ride outs

I give full respect to those who travel from other regions for any camping (or B&B) weekend.

If those numbers could be increased it would make your efforts worthwhile and more of us ‘locals’ may stick around for the social gatherings.

The only way to test things is to add it in the national UKGSER events section and put a time limit for showing interest or commitment to attending.

If I can help in any way let me know.

Gerry

I know exactly how you feel. Because of the nature of my work now, I can't commit ahead, work crops up suddenly and after a few months without income I need to take it. Where is it likely to be held if you do the camping thing?

I admire your perseverance with this David, sometimes it must seem like a pretty thankless task.
Once I retire and can commit to stuff I'll see if I can organise something as well to take a little weight off your shoulders if you'd like?

I still have the route you sent me from 2019 so I can use that to lead a ride if needed if there is no one else to lead.

Hi Tufty. Have you asked Chris to organise a road ride?

He may not have seen your request for volunteers above.

I can add a breakfast meet for the Saturday morning to attract more riders.

Gerry

Breakfast and road ride (b) for me please.
Thanks for organising David and thanks in advance to Chris for offering to lead the road ride.

Tufty - put me down for:

B or C - C if lanes are not a quagmire when we get to October as I hate mud plugging :augie
