East Mids Autumn Weekend - 6-8 October 2023

Camping and road ride please tufty, unless i get a bike in time

thanks for organising this great event again

Road Ride will be approx. 140 miles stopping half way round for lunch.
It will be mainly B roads and lanes ( all tarmac) avoiding towns and traffic , start and finish at Hickling.
All welcome , more info to follow and a .GPX file will be available.

Hi,

I’m up for this,

Camping and the road ride please. @Mistacat I will be on the sidecar so it might be easier for me to follow rather than hold you up as some corners can still make life interesting!!!

Hi GSite,

We have met. I came to a midweek breakfast near Woodall Spa a while back and we sat outside. It was a very wet ride home!!

Oh yes I remember now you mention it, recall being quite impressed by the set-up on the combo.
Probably the wettest mid-week meeting so far. Hopefully Mistacat and the weather Gods will reach an agreement for the road ride.

I hadn't made this clear and it has been pointed out. Thanks Ev.

Camping is at the far end behind the car park of the pub.

For those camping, we are turning up from around 4.00pm Friday afternoon and putting up tents. There's a nice walk down the canal if you don't fancy gong straight to the pub.

Saturday morning, breakfast at the café over the road at the canal basin Wharf Café from 9,00.

Rides will commence about 10.00 - 10.30 post breakfast.

Everyone welcome back to the pub for the evening, not just those camping, locals could even nip home and come back if you want.

Sunday morning, breakfast over the road and then disperse.

Can you get vans at the back of car park or on grass or is it just tents ?

The pub may be issuing a menu for us nearer the time.

Depending on numbers eating on Saturday night, they may ask us to pre-order. So if there are any day riders who are definitely joining us, please make yourselves known.

Thanks for organising Tufty, unfortunately we can’t make it - enjoy everyone.

I'm likely to be en route to Sleaford sometime around that weekend so MAY be able to arrange it to call in to be sociable. Will know closer to the time.
Not on a bike tho', will be on four wheels (needs must!)
