What an awesome bike the GS is :D:D:D
Just got mine back from it's 2year service. It took em 3 days to change the speedo for a UK one as they had to wait for UK ECU software, while they had the bike I was given a Triumph Sprint as a loaner, always liked the look of them so was looking forward to riding one. All I can say is thank God I've got a GS, the trumpet was such a disappointment :blast, switchgear with that toylike quality, riding position was OK but lots of windnoise, gearbox was slacker than a really slack thing it's only redeeming quality was it's engine, although a little bland after the GS, if the Tiger is similiar they can keep em, I'm happy with me Bavarian tractor:thumb

Not to take me wrong, but the Sprint is a very capable bike, I had one for 3 years, and 56kkm, before converting to a GS (which I really really like).

The tipple engine is awesome, take it to 5-7k rpm and interesting things starts to happen, but it's a different kind of bike than the GS, and they are build for different kind of things.

I tried the new Tiger last year, and did not really like it (also I find it butt ugly). Triumphs (the plastic ones) are not on par with BMW on build quality, not that they fall apart, but one get the feeling that things does not really fit together in the way they where meant to:augie

And when it comes to luggage.... and I can continue.
