Hi,
I'm looking into getting my ECU remapped. I have a full Akro exhaust and non-standard air filter, and suspect I can get better performance.

I've looked around and UK Hilltop Motorcycles can do a firmware flash (no chip required). They tune the bike and flash the firmware. It updates the engine management firmware.
Costs £350 and takes 2 hours.
Can be reverted to original if need be.

Anyone done this or know about it?
Geoff at HillTop seems knowledgeable and there seem to be good feedback about this mod.

Thanks,
Alan
P.S. Have posted on the HP2Forum as well.

I do believe that there are several threads on this issue but for ease i have had mine done and considerable improvements not just in power but the way its delivered

worth every penny just go and get it done

Dave Watson had his HP "Hilltopped" last week.

He seems very pleased :thumby:

I spent last weekend on a variety of Scottish roads (from fast n dry to wet and very twisty) jumping between my standard HP2e (on daft little wheels) a 950 KTM and a Hilltop 'flashed' R1200GSA.

The hilltop 1200 was much smoother than mine between nuthing and the upper-midrange (the bit where it feels like torque peaks), the same at the good bit and felt simply more powerful at the top end.

Both Beemers had standard headers, Cat, Can and air filters but I don't know how different the engines are. I also rode the same 1200GSA before its Hilltopping and I'm pretty certain it felt the same or less good than mine at all points.

So I think it works:thumb2

I'm tempted to get mine done too - am assuming I'd need to put the SM rims on for it tho...

I took my Megamoto to Dynojet for a Power Commander to be fitted. They Wrote a Specific Chip for it and can do Repeats.
