Took my 56 plated GS to DUCATI COVENTRY, JHP Racing last Friday for Rexxer ECU Re flash. WOW what an experience arrived at 930 am after leaving home at 6 am to a very warm welcome from everyone there.John Hackett gave me a quick guided tour of the workshops and what i would call an operating theatre where they rebuild engines... i handed over my gs.
To the very capable technical hands of Rick... Who returned it to me sometime later, after explaining what they had done. "downloaded my ecu so that if i wasn't happy they could reload it, then put it on the Dyno, then remapped it with rexxer ecu reflashing, then running it on the dyno again"(will put print out from Dyno with bhp and toque readouts when i can work out how to do it!!!) Then i went for a short spin to see how much difference it had made. I was very impressed, what a difference it felt so much smoother and had much more grunt, but i didn't know the road too well so didn't want to push my luck,40 mph speed limits everywhere. So i headed for the motorway home, the difference was more noticeable 2 and 1/2 hours later when i hit my local twisty roads that i know like the back of my hand. It seemed to have totally transformed the bike i was amazed. Even more so how the engine responded even to the most gentle twist of the throttle, so much smoother and gruntier than before,it feels like it has another gear. So a big Thank you very much to all at JHP Racing at Ducati Coventry for making it a pleasurable experience. At a very reasonable price.

Hi yes I did 98bhp before remap then 104bhp after & no it's not an advert

Can you let us know of how much the Rexxer tuning is? I know there is quite a long thread on Pelican about it and has been used on HP sport with very good results.

What's difference between this and one of the hilltop things we keep reading about?

Rexxer is a generic map, one map does all, Hilltop is done live, with tweaks applied as needed whilst it's on the Dyno and imho, worth the extra.

The same as JHP did then !!!!
Give them a call !!!!!
See what they do

No it wasn't, it would "probably" have been a generic map, the same one you can download and flash YOURSELF if you buy the Rexxer device.

The Hilltop map is built and developed in house by Geoff, flashed, dyno'd and adjusted as necessary.

I'm not "rubishing" the rexxer map, it's just that they are two different products. 449Euro buys you your own Rexxer device, and you can flash it yourself (with a single license) I posted up a link in the Hilltop thread.

At the end of the day, it's your bike, your money and as long as YOU are happy.....top banana :aidan

Where did you get your info from, having spoken to both of the only two Rexxer suppliers in the UK your statement is complete tosh, and both parties flash and dyno and ajust if required.

My TOSH information comes direct from the Rexxer Website, a link to which I posted in the Hilltop thread, and the LINK in the POST to which you refer to.

Have a read again, you will see my source of information :aidan

Are you also suggesting, that with your exhaustive research that the Hilltop map is not developed in house?

Edit .... you may well be, judging by your reply here in the Hilltop Thread

I've no interest in the Hilltop thing, there's another thread for that this is about Rexxer,my info came from the horses mouth(two of) which I always find much better,oh and by the way there's no generic map, well there may be in Germany but not here, you will also find(if you ask) the website doesn't even scratch the surface with what can be done.

In another thread I mentioned that the Rexxer device offered more scope, being almost a GS911 on more of a budget.

If you take all your info straight from the horses mouth as being true.........

I even said I was not rubbishing the rexxer device and based my post on what I found at the manufacturers site

Had a great chat with JHP today, as they pointed out every map is custom and not generic as they not only need the obvious like year and model, but type of exhaust be it a full aftermarket system or a slip on, and if a slip on which make. Also if useing an aftermarket filter which make, all of which effects the map that Rexxer send.

The comments on the Rexxer user system will remain just that, JHP use a far more sophisticated setup and for understandable reasons were not prepared to go into anymore detail, suffice to say they can still make alterations to the map that is sent if needs be.
