Elba

Took a run down to Elba. Wanted to see two things, First the obvious, Napoleons villa whilst in exile, and the location of the failed British landings during WW2, Operation Brassard. Didn't pre book the ferry, Just rocked up. Campsite was expensive, as expected. 40 Euros a night. Worth it though, Great facilities, two pools, Bars restaurants ect , 10 minute walk into town.
All that aside, What a beautiful Island.

Well done, I grew up not far from where you took the ferry, assuming that was Piombino! Amazing biking roads there!

yes, but not much going on down there and believe me life in the UK is not too bad!
