I'm rewiring parts of my 1150 and I need to replace some of the connectors such as the twelve way plugs that are underneath the tank. Can I get these any place other than BMW and will I also need special tools to assemble them?
On top of which, where "sublooms" (for want of a better word) are joined in that big jumble down the left hand side of the tank, they're connected by a big crimped metal cap with a pvc cap on that I assume is heat shrunk on. Any idea where can I get these from or, if they've got a specific name, what they're called.
Any help or ideas would be much appreciated. I'd like to get this as good as possible and don't realy know what the recommended tools are for the job. If there's a better way of connecting these wires together than BMW are using I'm happy to go down whatever route.
Thanks,
Mark
