Just had the 12GS serviced and as part of that service there was some reprogramming. When I bought the bike I had a second socket piggy backed off the first (looked neater down there) for the 2 electric jackets and my autocom system was fed into the same wiring. All was well in my world until the latest upgrade where BMW has seemingly put output restrictions on the circuitry.
My query is, if I now pay to put an accessory socket in the 'beak' as per the usual place and run the autocom off the unused GPS wiring at the front of the bike, will that solve the matter or am I faced with a life of discomfort and no sounds through my autocom.
THe R1200RT runs 2 sockets, presumably for heated kit to run off and I can't believe that BMW would run to a different loom so is the battery bigger so they don't need to be as draconian or is my cunning plan the solution.
